Prenatal yoga
Abiding by guidelines set forth by Yoga Alliance, Yoga Shala offers Prenatal Yoga taught by Registered Prenatal Yoga Teachers (RYPT).
These special offerings are dedicated for expectant mothers to honor the profound physical, emotional, and personal transformations of pregnancy. Thoughtfully structured around each trimester, the practice prioritizes functional alignment, stability, and pressure management to help mothers carry their changing bodies with confidence and ease.
Beyond movement, students will develop tools for labor and delivery through breathwork designed to build stamina and calm the nervous system. The nature of this class is conducive to fostering connection with other mothers and participants can expect to engage in honest conversation, collective wisdom, shared support all while preparing for birth and parenthood.
Open to all levels of practice and mobility, prenatal is designed to honor and adapt to eh distinct physical changes of each trimester. Through careful modifications, the sequences are physically engaging enough to prepare the body for birth while simultaneously calming the mind. Props are provided to offer optimal alignment and comfort.
Learning to care for oneself on the mat helps to build mental fortitude to navigate uncertainty with grace.
